What is it with people and RSVPs? Is it that much trouble to pick up the phone and say 'yes we are coming to the party' or 'no we're not'? And better yet, I even provided an email address so if you don't feel like talking, just send a quick note to me. I don't write all that information on the invitation for my health. Out of the 12 invitations I sent, only 2 people RSVPed (thank you Jennifer and Rachel). I had to call everyone else and I still haven't heard back from 3 of those families (which equals 9 people). It wouldn't be that big of a deal if I was just having cake and ice cream, but we are having a PARTY. With a MEAL. And these things cost money and if I know that x amount of people are coming, I will buy x amount of food. And if your kids aren't coming, then I won't buy them party favors, because oh yeah, those cost money, too. I tell you what, people just have no manners anymore.
Now excuse me while I go rap my cane on the sidewalk and tell those ungrateful kids to get off my lawn.
OMG! I am having the same problem, only opposite! I'm throwing a baby shower this weekend and asked everyone to RSVP by July 6th, which gave them 2 weeks once they got the invite, and it gives me a week to get favors, food, EVERYTHING together. Do you know I've had 4 people RSVP in the last 2 days now, and the shower is this weekend? RIDICULOUS! People are so rude nowadays....at least I know it's not only people in Ohio though! Hope your party turns out well!
