The Aftermath

It took me ALL DAY yesterday to clean up after Lulu's birthday party. Our house is 99.9% child friendly, so when we have people over it's nice that we can just visit and not worry about the kids getting into trouble. So we all sat outside while the kids were inside playing with all the toys that came with 5 million tiny pieces that Lulu got for her birthday. Every now and then someone would go inside and check on things. And they would say the same thing every time they came back outside: "The kids have taken over your house, Kellie." I would laugh and say, "Oh, that's alright, it can't be that bad." And when people started to leave shortly before midnight I went inside and surveyed the damage. Yes, it was bad. But I did notice one thing--you can tell our kids are getting older because the amount of cake I had to clean off the floor and chairs was considerably less than in years past. But everyone had a great time. We have good parties, if I do say so myself.
