This and That

I hope you all appreciate my blogging today. I hurt my back somehow and it's killing me to sit in an upright position for more than about 2 minutes. I have a date with a cute chiropractor on Wednesday. And yes, more bargains. I rarely shop at the Children's Place, but I do like their panties for Blondie. Her little chubby (very pinchable) hiney doesn't fit too well in Gymboree panties. I went in Friday and they have one particular design that is being discontinued and they are selling a 3-pack for $1.99. Look for the pack with the pink gingham design. I stocked up. We have plenty o' panties until she turns 7. Kevin forgot Mother's Day. He claims he thought it was today (Monday). I asked him WHEN? WHEN? has Mother's Day EVER been on a MONDAY? We have calendars all over this house, too. Not to mention everything on tv and in the stores. He raced to Albertson's (the only place open on Sunday morning) and bought me some roses and potted tulips. And a Dora the Explorer card because it was the only card they had left. I of course, took full advantage of his forgetfulness and made him go look around Home Depot with me, take us out for ice cream (at the Dairy Twin--home of the chocolate/vanilla twist TO DIE FOR) as well as a coke with the good, crunchy ice. He also fed the kids lunch AND dinner while my rear sat on the couch and watched Food Network and a couple of shows on Discovery about the family with 16 kids. So all in all? A good day. This morning I sentimentally made Lulu's last preschool lunch EVER. She could care less, but it was a very "awwww" moment for me. PB&J, a juice box, and a banana, if you were wondering. I'm really hoping she will do well eating in the school cafeteria next year so she will get a little more variety. It's either PB&J or grilled cheese. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. What would I do without my ALL CAPS BUTTON today?

  1. Oh Kevin! Well we've had years like that here. The first year Mike claimed that I wasn't his mother so he was not obligated to do anything for me. I ended up with a day at the spa after I told him how it was. I hope you feel better!
