Only 205 days until Halloween!

Happy Day After Easter--otherwise known as Diabetic Coma Day. I'm getting a little wiser now, seeing as how this is our 4th Easter doing this thing. Much to Kevin's dissappointment, the Easter Bunny didn't bring the kids a single piece of candy this year. Well, there was the little sack of jelly beans attached to the stuffed bunny, but those got disposed of because they tasted like swimming pool chemicals. Instead, he brought a few small toys, juice boxes, and snacks. Because nothing says "He is Risen" like SpongeBob SquarePants Cheez-Its. He shamed me all morning (Kevin, not SpongeBob). Even during church, he whispered to me, "No candy!?" Little did he know the sugar bombardment that was to follow. First Grandpa came over with a year's supply of Smarties and imitation marshmallow chocolate eggs. Then Grammie came over with Target's aisle 6 supply of candy. Then, Kevin's aunt and cousin came over with not only Easter candy (including Flopsy, Mopsy, Cottontail, and Peter solid chocolate bunnies), but belated Valentine's candy, too. My parent's are coming up here this weekend, so I can only imagine what else will follow. So my schedule today will be: tame sugar-induced tantrums, brush tiny teeth, wash little faces and hands, prepare as many vegetables as I can for dinner, brush tiny teeth again, scrape half-eaten jelly beans off carpet, walls, tables, and toys, and wash sticky hair. Did I mention we're having vegetables for dinner tonight? And brushing our teeth? UPDATE: Yes, we wore the sleeveless dresses and capris. Luckily, I had some cream colored sweaters from Christmas that went well with the girls' dresses. I just froze. Our legs and toes were very cold. However, we looked great and weren't the only ones having to grin and bear it.

  1. What did you guys end up wearing to church? I hope you weren't too cold in those spring dresses and capri pants....
